About us

Kismet Wedding Rentals began in 2019 as we planned and gathered décor for our own wedding. After years of being the go-to event planner and decorator for family and friends, I (Jaimee) realized how much I truly loved everything about wedding planning. I started offering design advice to friends, helping them craft centerpieces and plan their special day—and that passion quickly grew into a business we wanted to share with others.

As a lifelong “maker,” I’ve always enjoyed creating customized pieces. Today, we offer a range of customizable rental items, including welcome signs, table signage, and floral arrangements. This allows our clients to enjoy personalized details without the high price tag often associated with one-time-use décor.

My husband, Will, has been by my side since the beginning—building backdrops, mastering efficient setups (even with tight timeframes), and putting his business degree to work to ensure Kismet runs smoothly behind the scenes.

We're big believers in clear and timely communication, and we go above and beyond to make your experience stress-free whether you're planning a wedding, shower, or celebrating a milestone event. As a math teacher by day, I understand the importance of organization, preparation, and having every detail accounted for. I bring those skills to every event so that when your big day arrives, you can simply enjoy it.

Our goal is for you to walk into your venue and see it transformed into exactly what you imagined.

We are located in Swansea, IL and serve the Illinois Metro-East, Southern Illinois and St. Louis and the Missouri Surrounding Area.

  • Jaimee is the best, hands down. She’s very responsive through email and has the vision to make all of your ideas come to life and flow together. She did all of the decor, bouquets, and boutonnières for our October 2024 wedding and everything was flawless. She created a romantic vibe that mixed with the exposed brick in the venue perfectly. I asked her to surprise us with the final decisions on the sweetheart table and wow did she knock it out of the park.
